My research centers around theoretical and computational molecular magnetism. The focus is on the modeling of both static and dynamic anisotropic magnetic properties and interactions using quantum chemical calculations and model Hamiltonian methods. The research aims at understanding the relationship between the chemical structure of molecular systems and their magnetic properties. The results are applied to the design and characterization of organometallic single-molecule magnets and other coordination complexes of lanthanide and actinide ions with strongly anisotropic magnetic properties.
